Vanilla Rice Pudding

This rice pudding has a secret ingredient - rosewater! You’ll love its great taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sunwhite Medium Grain Rice
  • 1 packet Strawberries, tops removed, quartered
  • 0.25 tsp Rosewater
  • 2 tsp Icing Sugar
  • 3.5 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Caster Sugar Or Honey
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 2 tbsp Toasted Pistachios, chopped

Method

  1. Combine the strawberries, rose water and icing sugar in a bowl. Fold gently with a spoon, cover and refrigerate.
  2. Combine the rice and 1 cup of milk in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce to a medium heat and simmer, stirring constantly, until the liquid has evaporated but the rice is sticky and moist.
  3. Stir well and add another cup of milk. Repeat until the rice is tender. Add the sugar and vanilla. Garnish with strawberries and pistachios, when served.
