Cinnamon Rice Pudding
Ingredients
- 4.5 cup Whole Milk
- 1.5 cup Water
- 0.75 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- 1 cup Sunwhite Medium Grain Rice
- 1 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste Or Vanilla Extract
- 1 Cinnamon Stick, grated or ground
Method
- In a heavy bottomed, 3-quart saucepan, combine the milk, water, sugar, cinnamon stick, and rice. Stir to combine.
- Bring to an intense simmer over medium high heat, stirring often. Reduce the heat and continue cooking, stirring often until the rice is tender, about 35 to 45 minutes.
- Remove from heat and remove the cinnamon stick. Stir in the vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract.
- Spoon the rice pudding into individual ramekins. Let the pudding cool slightly before serving.
- Just before serving, top with cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon.
